Description
Another image inspired by the work of Fedor Shmidt. I made the room in Carrara using native shaders (with some modification *coughheaterventcough*) and the wood floor texture from purchased content. Everything else is readily available at Daz.Related content

I can't decide if I'm in love or at war with the fisheye view, but it's enough to make me think and appreciate the piece either way. So, cheers!

I have similar feelings about the fisheye... I only used it here to make a more accurate representation of the original work that I drew inspiration from... For some reason, I find it relaxing to "duplicate" photographic works with my 3D renderings... It's a fun challenge getting the pose, environment, lighting, and camera angles right... I always try to credit the original artist if I can find a name associated with the image. I'd like for them to know that I liked their image so much that I wanted to spend countless hours recreating it. And I sincerely hope they take it as the compliment I intend it to be...
Wow, that's a mouthful of a comment... Didn't mean for it to drag on that long...

I understand that. I've found that trying to internally visualize what I'm trying to do and execute it can be too jarring. A reference (or inspiration) photo lets you see exactly how it *could* be and makes it a bit easier to execute.
I'm sure most (if not all) artists would see it as the compliment that it is. Everyone's been inspired by someone at some point, and it's always flattering to be the inspiration for something else.
At least, that's my $0.02.
