”Let’s go, Esper. My back is killing me.” Ashwyn grumbled as she stretched out her legs in an attempt to get more comfortable.
”In a minute, Ash.” Esperanza replied as she stood and stretched as well. ”You’ll be joining us soon?” she asked Windfola.
I think I may be…” Windfola replied, looking back at her stomach. ”But I don’t think it’s up to me.”
”Listen, when you’re this pregnant, nothing is up to you anymore.” snorted Ashwyn, glaring down at herself. ”The sooner I pop, the better.”
All three mares shared a laugh as Ashwyn and Esperanza prepared themselves.
”Well regardless, we’ll see you and the others soon. Tell Breigo not to worry too much. He’s likely to give himself a heart attack with all three of us gone.” Esperanza chuckled.
”He does love to worry…” Windfola agreed, remembering how he was when Corona had left to foal.
The three mares shortly finished their goodbyes. Esperanza and Ashwyn headed over across the hills while Windfola made her way back to the herd, hoping it would be her time soon.
