+Remorseless: Cas never feels any guilt, shame, or remorse because, well, Cas doesn't actually feel anything. His emotionless mixed with the inability to pick up on social cues and react properly to them, or care at all, rubs most wolves the wrong way.

+Intelligent: Cassidy is much smarter than his birth pack ever thought he was, and too smart for his own as far as his foster pack was concerned. He's quiet and appears completely stoic, but he picks up on things left unsaid and easily makes connections and huge jumps in logic. Good at puzzles and riddles, too.

+Deceptive: While living with his small foster pack, Cas began to realize he didn't fit in with normal wolves. He couldn't understand their body language and was helpless against their genuine emotions and thoughts. He began to realize how unlike them he was and how uncomfortable he made them. His expressions were never quite right and his reactions were either too slow or too fast--like he was only pretending to be a wolf, but hadn't perfected it yet. So he began to watch and listen and practice how to behave as if he actually belonged.

+Charming: This ties in with his deceptiveness. Cas learned quickly that you catch more flies with honey than...something natural a wolf could find in the woods similar to vinegar. He could make them laugh and feel more comfortable around him by exaggerating stories or throwing around compliments, anything to keep them blind to the real him. Cas isn't always charming, he can be a real prick, but he can definitely turn it on at will.

+Calculative Cas always weighs the risks against the rewards. He'll go over every detail in his mind before he actually takes action. He'll rarely do something that could result personal damage, unless he can be sneaky enough. What's the first rule of Cas Club? Never get caught. What's the second rule of Cas Club? Never get caught.

+Confused: Cas has no idea what's going on. He barely remembers his puphood, most of it in bits and pieces, and the rest he doesn't want to remember. Secretly he's incredibly bitter that his life turned out this way and can't think of how he deserved any of it. This line of thinking makes him feel like he's chasing his tail and so he often pretends it doesn't bother him.

Pre-Group History: Cassidy was part of an unauthorized litter born into a very strict, totalitarian pack. His mother was a low ranking omega and his father was a loner that frequently poached scraps from the pack (Cassidy later learned his father forced himself on his mother). Once the pack learned she was pregnant they kept her prisoner and mistreated her as punishment. As a result her pups were born malnourished and runtish, Cassidy included. As soon as his eyes were open the alphas publicly executed his mother to dissuade other pack members from disobeying. Cassidy and his siblings were kept alive and strong enough to do grunt work and wait on the adults.
Cassidy lived firmly under the paw of the pack alphas for two years, watching in silence as his siblings died or were killed for insubordination. He finally escaped one night after the alpha pair mysteriously died. He was eventually taken in by a small family pack. This was Cassidy's first experience with wolves outside the totalitarian hell he'd lived in and, at first, didn't know what to make of them. At first he thought they'd be just like all other wolves he knew and kept them at leg's reach, suspicious of their intentions. Gradually he began to realize they meant him no harm. While he could never fully relax after what he'd been through, he felt a quiet calm wholly new to himself. Unfortunately, no matter what effort they made, Cassidy remained pensive and unreachable. His dead, calculating gaze began to wear on and unsettle them. Things came to a head one day when a lone wolf happened upon and threatened them. Cassidy gave no warning before swiftly and efficiently killing the loner. Terrified and disgusted by Cassidy's lack of empathy or regard for another wolf's life, the pack demanded Cassidy leave immediately. Confused and injured he wandered the woods alone until eventually finding his way into Aryn territory.

Cassidy has left Aryn and joined a pack more...suited to his tastes.
