Description
Painted prototype of my sassy Toothless sculpture. I am further refining it and adding a relief sculpture to the base in the design in the picture (with the runes on the top segment and the pattern on the bottom segment,) before casting the final piece in a two-part mold. The casts (which take a massive 26 oz of resin!) will be painted as shown here.ĀBecause he needs so many materials I need help getting him going! I have made a kickstarter page- check it out!

He's looking rather anorexic.Ā His neck isn't nearly thick enough.

Wonderful and so detailed! I am amazed by the variation in color in the eye area. Looks really alive :3 the only critique I can have is that his neck is almost as thick as his jaws are wide, so its rather skinny here.

Thanks for your comment and critique! He is a really hard character to get right! I spent most of my time trying to get his head right and didn't spend much time thinking about the neck. I'll certainly study my references and possibly alter it for the final piece
