Hey there, glad you like it! It was a lot of fun to sculpt, probably because it's not my usual thing. He's a cute character.

How do a commision cost? And do sent the sculpture also?

SovaeArt In reply to spiritdaughter [2012-01-24 14:13:28 +0000 UTC]

Hey there,
For a sculpture like THIS one, it would be $90. That's assuming it's a wolf and the same sort of size. Other commissions will have different prices. And yes, of course you get the sculpture!

Nice! Do you use wire armatures? I use sculpey and I'm wondering if it's worth getting a wire armature from ebay for something small like this.

it doesn't cost does it? because i just fell low on the cash...

SovaeArt In reply to kindalkaykay [2011-01-17 17:27:27 +0000 UTC]

It is considered a faux pas to ask people for free art in artist communities like this. You wouldn't get a plumber to fix your pipes and then tell him you can't pay him; and you don't ask an artist for free work. It is a job. If you would like free art, you can usually find people who like doing it for the pleasure and practice, but be sure they are offering it before asking.

I am in love with the pose of this one! You sculpted it very well. The tail is the best hehe. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it. It must have been a challenge to balance it out to keep it standing in that position, I know it would have been hard for me lol

Cristina-Corruptive [2009-09-22 20:47:32 +0000 UTC]

How is he ttly not falling over?! XDD
I can never get my sculpts to stand on less than 3 legs 8C

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SovaeArt In reply to Cristina-Corruptive [2009-09-22 23:27:00 +0000 UTC]

balancing like this is actually easier than doing three legs, and three legged poses are generally easier than 4-legged ones because of the difficulty of getting all four points to touch the ground

Cristina-Corruptive In reply to SovaeArt [2009-09-22 23:31:54 +0000 UTC]

C8 you replied *fangirls*
...and that explains alot XDD
:/ Maybe I should try a nice 2 or 3 legged pose sometime soon
thanks~
