None is perfect, but I prefer the DougheGoji.

I think they're both great, they're both part of my Top 3 favorite designs (tied to second place right next to all the Heiseis except for 1984).

2019 looks bulkier henceforth Cooler, though I am wondering what the hell happened to his tail itβs shorter compared to 2014

I do like the tail being so pointy like a pencil tip, so I guess they want the tail to be like the original. The dorsal spikes look amazing.

Is it me, or does the 2019 Godzilla look taller than the first Monsterverse Godzilla?Β

I love GareGoji (2014), but I really love DougheGoji's (2019) improvement I never even thought were needed, he looks more muscular like a strongman, he has sharper claws and toe claws, he has broader shoulders, and his 1954 dorsal plates is a great retro callback, it's like Mike Dougherty said: "Godzilla's spines are like his crown, they have to be special and embody the spirit of the monster himself."
In short: with the new cosmetic alterations, Godzilla's design in KOTM is a more refined version of what we saw last time, making him look even more perfect than he already was.ο»Ώ
