Ya know, I think I just found where you got the inspiration for 'by the book's steam knights. 40k gets some ridiculous armours just like them.

Yes-I think when I designed the first Steam Knight (Romulus Volk) I had Space Marines in mind but I made the armour cruder and more like a medieval knight. As time went on I also discarded the religious nutter aspect of the Space Marine from the Steam Knights. Space Marines were definitely an insperation though

personally, i think your steam knights are way cooler. putting sci-fi elements in a fantasy setting is like mixing chocolate and peanut butter, it just feels right.

Yup-More or less I used a bit of reference but sort of made it up as well
I'm sure there are a lot of varients across the Imperium anyway

I knew you'd say that (quoting the universally loved 1995 movie ). I actually quite like that movie. It's not perfect by any stretch but it's so pretty (and the score is amazing). It's a shame they didn't get a less famous actor to play Dredd (then he might have kept his helmet on).
