I wonder why I haven't seen this... The tank looks great (I love the legs, very credible looking)!

One thing though - can't think of a good way to decipher the Russian abbreviation next to the gun. Apart from Fucking Horrid (i.e. Terrifying) Steel - Ебаное Ужасное Железо  . Did you have anything specific in mind?

lol-You give me too much credit. I think I just added on Russian looking letters to make it look cool-I had no idea whether they might actually mean anything

Well, they don't actually *mean* that - it's just one way the abbreviation (it's got to be an abbreviation as there's no such word) can be deciphered. I'm sure there are others, but this is the one I could come up with... Another obvious possibility would be "Fucking Horror", which is something of an idiom.

Great stuff indead, like the other tanks, cannons, bombers and equipment like weapons and armor.
Sadly I only saw one of these Mechs because they really are awesome and I like such stuff...you know, WW2 Alternative/Modern stuff...multi turreted tanks.
I cant imagine how bit it is, its like your "Mega Tank" or even "Mobile Fortress" ?
Since it seems like a Soviet Mech during the WW2 I wish you could draw again something like this, but more bigger with more pew pew pew on him

What you think would be better for a Alternative ww2 history for the soviets, a big ass tank like the "Mobile Fortress" or still a mech like this or like the "Hammer" from MoW ?

Thanks! This one would be pretty big. Not quite as heavy as the mega tank, but in a similar class of vehicle. Nowhere near as big as the mobile fortress

Going on the Soviets from our world I'd say a fantasy version would build a lot of very big armoured vehicles before the war as prestige pieces (they kind of did this in the real world-see T35 for example-in a fantasy world these 'land ship' designs would simply be taken to a greater extreme) but would probably abandon these as impractical and concentrate on making lots of simple but effective medium tanks.

Making large numbers of rugged but simple weapons was something that the soviets got very good at later in the war. One of the reasons the Germans were out produced was their over engineering of everything. Sometimes simplicity and numbers are better than quality and complexity.
A mech would be very complex and really doesn't offer any advantage over a tank-in fact they would be slower, harder to protect with armour and very complicated to build (assuming you could make them work at all). On the other hand, mechs are cool! -so go crazy and have mechs -or both even? Giant tanks and mechs If a mech worked well it might be better than a normal armoured vehicle for urban warfare, but the tank would rule out on the plains.

Yay, the T35 is awesome...but only from the look. Thats why I like the "Kharkov Battle Tank" from Warfront Turning Point. Afterall as I know they are slow, easy to hit and are inflexible.
But that dosent mean that stuff like this shouldnt be in alternative/futuristic WW1 or WW2.
My current problem is I dont know which is more epic. A giant Spider Mechs like this with medium speed, lazer, guns and stuff, or a slow but very tough mobile Fortress with many high caliber to medium guns + one big gun. The Spider mech could manage to cross every terrain...but the Mobile Fortress would have problems at rivers, mountains and narrow passes.
Ahhh damn, such a hard decision to take X)

What about a giant mobile fortress that can deploy a fleet of spider mechs?

You mean something like this Oo?
www.crappypasta.com/wp-content…

Thats sounds new to me and maybe it would looks epic aswell when I see what Red Alert 3 got these cute Terror Drones.
And the Epic Fortress would be called "Broth Mother" or "Tsaritsa"...that says me google, my russian is bad x)

But how it should look like Oo ?
I mean as a Fortress/Mech which carries a lot of other spider mechs, where would they be stored ?
And then again, is the main machine a tank/mech or a tripod ?
Ah damn, so many good suggestions and so hard to select one ><

Just found this by random searching in google.

I can imagine that such spider mechs would be the smaller ones with MG,Cannon or something like that. Which would be good at overwhelming towns, villages.

Very cool! Sponsons and turrets everywhere! And each one firing a different sized round. Requisitioning ammo must be a bear. If I could sculpt, THAT would be my next project. In 28mm, of course.

Thanks for the comment. I guess that's why the 'indipendant tank' theory of the 30s never caught on. Oh well. I still like multi turreted tanks. Often the less effective weapons are the most interesting.

Look at the warships of the early 1900's and you'll see the same thing. I've always been fascinated with "landships", though being a Victorian Science Fiction (steampunk) miniature wargamer may have something to do with it.

Very nice! I love the design of it, and the colour scheme is great.
