Description I swear by God, just two minutes ago the clock was 2 am... I am going crazy. But anyways, I wanted to draw at least one festive picture for you guys (since its December) so here you have Elsa, the Snow Queen!   It was so fun and so hard to draw her but it was worth it. Who needs sleep anyways! These black circles under my eyes are hereditary so they won't go away, even if I sleep for 3 years.
AND GUYS, the body study was so worth it! I mean, it only took me 1 hour or less to study/practice anatomy and my bodies are already looking better! (Well, for this drawing, the next ones will probably suck)

I hope you like this piece as much as I like it!

There’s no business like snow business, and there’s some nice business like ice business…

If I have to be honest, ever since Frozen took off the way it did, it’s been practically impossible to avoid. The amount of merch I see, the people I witness cosplaying as her, all the drawings as I sift through my deviations (though that’s my own fault, really ), it’s just been a friggin’ Frozen fiasco since the movie release!

Anyway, silly grumbles aside, I gotta admit that after seeing your drawing, maybe there’s a reason I choose not to avoid Frozen. Given the mere hour of body studies it’s hard to believe that you’ve improved so handily in that area, even if I did get some weird impressions at first.

I actually had to stand up and see for myself with regards to those legs, as I was thinking “Surely, they don’t bend and curve like wet pasta, do they?” Least, that was the impression, but turns out they’re much more flexible than I thought. Maybe it’s the thinness and length of the legs that confused me for a brief moment. No problems in that regard, to say the least.

Her face and hair are also very well-realised, and her dress, needless to say, has been exquisitely detailed. From the gemstone look of her top to the flowing material for both her gown and cloak (the latter looking like a diamond sheet of ice, in a sense), it’s fair to say that your realisation of the Snow Queen is, for all intents and purposes, rather cool. (Silly pun, I know. )

The lattice-like background of ice crystals finishes the whole thing off nicely, and her glowing snowflake, while perhaps a little dim compared to the rest of the background, is nicely shaped and coloured. Overall, I don’t think I’ve personally got problems with this one, as it’s a very lovely portrait of such a popular character. Needless to say, keep it up.

Please pardon me if I tend to "puntificate" a little.

Anyway, you're very much welcome and all the best to you!

Oh my goodness this is an amazing drawing you have here of Elsa!! I'm absolutely loving the overall quality you have in this drawing >w<)b
Also, just one hour of anatomy study/practice and you've become this good at it? Wow!!

Since you submitted this to the feedback/critique folder in Get-gud, I will give you my thoughts/ideas about your drawing as a member of Get-gud.
You've done an amazing job on the hair shading and it looks very Elsa-esque, but I think you could actually go even further with even darker colours! For your drawing, I think it would add quite a bit of contrast and effect if you were to experiment with much darker shading in the darker areas and some highlights to emphasize the brighter spots. It's also important to note that you can actually use non-black/grey colours for shading to give it even more life (like in this example Hair shading tutorial  where the artist doesn't use grey for their shading).
Your anatomy is really really good after your just one hour of study/practice, such a fast learner (jealousy ensues)! But I notice that her head feels like it has turned a bit too far. For the most part, people cannot turn their head even 90 degrees to the side (you can test this by trying to turn your own head more than 90 degrees) so it feels like Elsa has actually turned her head a bit too far because her torso is turned away from the snowflake and yet we have a perfect side view of her head turned toward the snowflake. I absolutely love how you've drawn her head from the side view, but by allowing her body to turn in ways not quite realistic it gives a sense of unease to any person who has some knowledge about the limits of the human body. I think that even in anime you don't want to let it become unrealistic unless you are trying to emphasize something with that unrealisticness.
And this final point isn't really something that you need to improve on, but rather a selfish idea of mine. I would have loved to see the snowflake becoming a light source and the shading to be made accordingly. Something like this ([cm] Frozen Fever ) is the type of light source "effect" that I have in mind, but of course this is just my selfish idea and I think your current shading is absolutely amazing either way~

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope my critique helps in some way! ^^

I am loving those long legs, they're really well drawn and she's having fun making that big Ice. Those snow droplets really added a nice touch to the image. Nice work!
