If ya having trouble with gold, you might want to get into the College of Winterhold, go into the rooms for sleeping in, use the tcl command, move directly down, and just sell everything you get from the chests that are hidden below the floor.

No, it's literally just 3 chests that are just floating beneath the floor. Also, depending on how you play, you could use some of those items. One is majorly filled with mage items. Another's meant for theives. And other just has pure loot.
