Done for the Trading Post No. 32 over at Yerf.com. Anna`s character, the Snail Lady! I was trying to experiment with a crosshatching style applied to color, and I think it turned out okay. Done in Prismacolor pencils on colored canson paper.Related content

Yeah, it's all colored pencil, just applied with crosshatching instead of my usual, more subtle method.

nice texture, wicked use of color blends and my only complaint is that it seems to be turned an awkard way. Maybe you meant for this i dont know but nice piece.

If you mean that it's upside down, then that was deliberate. Anything else I really don't know; I did this piece five years ago, so I can't remember many of the details.

Oh, I just have to fave this. There's so much to like about it. I first noticed the crosshatching - you pulled it off very well, and I love how it lets the colors melt into each other, especially the purple and pink on the snail shell. The arc of the whole image is neat too, following the leaf through the snail body and along the bubbles. And still her face is the center of attention. Very well done.

I never could do decent cross-hatching
You pulled it off so well! I love the lines especially around the moon because it looks like a tile mosaic. Very lovely
