So it's been awhile, but I finally managed to get something done! I'm excited.I have no idea where the idea for a turtle with a jetpack came from, but I like it. And really, if it gets me to paint I don't care. I've been sorely lacking in motivation for far too long.
This was something of an experiment with inking; I've been wanting to get more variation of line, so this was actually inked with a rather small brush instead of microns. I like the effect, so I'll probably be playing around with the technique some more in the future.

My girlfriend bought the original for me at GenCon. I'd been gushing about how awesome it was when we walked past it and she remembered that I had really, really liked it, so when my back was turned she picked it up. Gave it to me after something of a rough day at the con and it made me cry I was so happy to see it. So, thank you.

Turtles in Space... I smell a Saturday morning cartoon! The midnight look to the background and the scaled texture to his skin really make this stand out for me. Brilliant!
