Pencil in Sketchbook. This one took a long time --- approximately thirteen-and-a-half hours (though, probably a few more), over the course of three months --- to make.

This time, I completed the composition of the scene using light scribbles before adding any detail. I believe I spent about three and a half hours on that alone. I then worked on very slowly adding the detail to the entire scene, starting from the top left and moving right. The canopy of the tree really stretched the limits of what I could accomplish with a mechanical pencil; often the lead was too thick to create really nice tapers in the twiggy branches. Ultimately, I am fairly happy with the result. There were a couple of times where I thought I had lost the drawing --- namely due to the my spilling water or some other substance on the drawing. Thankfully, I was able to work around those things.
