Life and work have really been conspiring against me, keeping me away from my art. I'll reply to your wonderful comments soon, promise.
It was a struggle to work on this, especially with how many colors I had to pick out, but I got it done! Last year I had meant to make a color version of Twilight and Celestia and I even made a sketch of the picture. This is the completed picture!
The background is inspired by season 7 episode 10 as well as the throne room of Canterlot Castle. This has a bit of a story going on. Can you guess what it is?Supplies: 32 Copic colors, Micron multiliners, and Col-Erase pencils on Strathmore Bristol

Thank you so much! I'm happy you noticed Discord. He's so ready to prank those poor, unsuspecting souls. When I drew the pair a year ago, I was imagining them posing for a picture and I knew I needed to incorporate that into the background (foreground?) when I finally finished it. I thought it added something of interest to the illustration, too. Thank you for commenting!
