Description This is how you're supposed to do it, right?

Anyway, more Kit and Oste. Oste is the one getting greeted, and also his boss...like, three times over.

Hi there!~ I am from !

From what I can see, the line work looks pretty good! The lines are solid and defining what part of body belongs to who. I love their character expressions! It makes me think of a brother and sister relationship of who can bug who the most. The book on the table or counter makes a nice addition. It may not seem like it, but it makes sense because it is always when we are busy with something to do is when we are bothered. *like right now since I am at work trying to type this* The only thing I have to say is be careful with the lining that it doesn't look sloppy. There are a couple of minor spots that I can see that the black line looks off or was a mistake. Take your time when you line things. ^^Β

Firstly, I really like the personality you’ve managed to portray with you characters. I really get a sense of the relationship between the characters as well, so well done there. There are some anatomy issues, like the arms on the girl, they look as if they might be a little broken, but considering how hard perspective and foreshortening can be, don’t feel too bad.

Oste’s arms look better but having one hand go one way and the other go a different way, looks a little strange. Maybe try having the left side hand grabbing the arm from below instead, that way you have some variety in the pose while maintaining the same overall gesture.

The eyes on Kit is a little wonky but still within a plausible range, so don’t stress on it too much. I do however really like your line work. It is varied and interesting with good line weight variation which really adds something more to the drawing. Overall, a nice picture.

Keep up the good work.

(Note to self: Make sure Kit looks more like a guy. Or not.Β  Β )

Aaanyway, thanks for your thoughts! Honestly, I think the foreshortening was better in the sketchy phase, but then I started inking and got thrown off by all the overlap. Guess I'll just have to pay more attention next time.

The foreshortening is an easy thing to get mixed up on. Don't worry, you'll get it.
So Kit is a guy, my mistake. Sometimes stylistic choices can make it a little difficult to tell with some people's work.
Good luck on your next piece.

First, anatomy. The asymmetry of the face can be worked on with more sketches before inking, involving proper lining of facial structure. You can refer to guides such as here andΒ here . I also recommend online guides for hands and their different poses.

In the same vein as the lineart, the structure also helps you draw the heads in a manner that delivers volume. The changes are small, but change a lot from the viewer's perspective. For example, the roundness of the head and face means that the character's fingers and palm would curve more about the face, unless they are at rest. The male's fingers should also curve around the female's forearm; here, they look like they are resting on a flat surface.

Some hand references with foreshortening and perspective are here andΒ here .Β

Finally, the hair can be improved upon. You seem to have grasp of it in your other pieces, but more strand shadows and separation of fringes would make them look nicer, as well.

Good luck.

Who doesn't love to hug a nice head?

I know, right? And some heads need hugging more than others.
