So here's my new boat/home!

This is a 38' Seafarer with full keel, ketch rigging, windspeed, GPS, Autopilot, *air conditioning*, a charcoal stove (for heat), an alcohol stove (for cooking), full head (including a bathtub!!!!), a Yanmar 50 hp diesel engine, 60 gal fuel tank, 200 gallon fresh water tank, loads of storage and all the bells and whistles.

She's still shrink wrapped as I type this. I gave the seller a deposit and I'm paying for a fresh bottom job and professional rigging (he's paying for the engine tune-up and launch) and we'll have a sea trial sometime next week. If everything goes well (and I don't see why it wouldn't), I'll complete the sale and she will be mine, all mine!

Right now her name is 'Options' but I'm going to change it to 'Let's Just Go' which is something of a personal mantra. People who have been paying attention will say: 'Wait a minute! I thought you were going to name your boat the 'Go Left!'

Well remembered!

The 'Go Left' name I was going to use for my starter boat and save 'Let's Just Go' for my final, blue water boat. Because Godsdamnit, I'm not going to be on the sea and never cross an ocean. But . . . this is a blue water boat. I could circumnavigate the globe in this if I had the inclination. It's so roomy inside I could raise a family on it. Me and this gal are going places.
