So! Some non-Marvel Thor and Loki sketches. Thor still looks a bit . . . . Helmsworth-ish, but Loki is definitely his own creation.Top left is what started this whole mess: Thor and Loki eating Thjazzi. For those of you not obsessed with Norse myth, Thjazzi was a Frost Giant that usually took the form of a giant eagle. He kidnapped Loki and starved him for six months until Loki agreed to help Thjazzi kidnap Idunn, who was the keeper of the golden apples that kept the gods young and beautiful. Loki then borrowed Frigg's falcon cloak, changed into a falcon and found Idunn. He changed her into a nut and flew back to Asgard clutching her in his claws. Thjazzi saw this and gave chase, so the gods built a huge bonfire on the walls of Asgard. Loki, being the god of fire, flew through the flames unharmed, but Thjazzi was burned to death.
And then I just thought: Finally, we have enough chicken to satisfy Thor!
Thor eats huge amounts; two or three cattle at a time, so a giant eagle would be enough poultry to satisfy him. And Loki found a signet ring on his wing. And Loki's just like: starve me to near-death, will ya? Revenge is best served rotisserie style.
Top right is Thor conjuring some weather. Do not mess with the Thunderer.
Bottom left is Loki revealing why he constantly has bedhead. Sluts always have messy hair. XD
Bottom right is the two of them showing off for the camera. I swear Loki gets more androgynous every time I draw him, while Thor shows off his testosterone poisoning. If you're wondering about Loki's piercings, Loki had his mouth sewn shut by the dwarf Brok. I thought it would be cool to have a couple of snake bites and a labret in the scars. The little dots around his lips are supposed to be regular scars.

I love these two.
My fave myth is where Loki Tricks thor to go unarmed to Gerroid's home, but they stop by Grid's place. (Who's the physical Giantess form of Mother Earth, secretly Thor's mother in the Marvel comics.) And she gives Thor her her girdle, silk gloves and magic-wand.
The girdle triples Thor's strength, the gloves let him handle ANYTHING no matter how hot or cold, and the magic wand acts as a Staff.
XD In my modern interpretation of it, Thor from the Movies, the girdle is a magic pair of spanxs. And of course, nothing would make people laugh more, than the image of Chris Hemsworth/Thor in spanxs.

Um, I dislike entering other people's (that I don't know) conversation; but Marvel had Her name wrong. It's Jord or Fjorgyn. did you possibly mean Gerd? Gerd or Gerthr is Freyr's wife who he loved so much that he gave up his Sword that fights jotun on it's own.

I don't doubt you, Love. I'm just saying that Marvel is wrong in the name of the Earth Mother, but she'll answer to quite a few just leave most of the fouler obscenities out. then comes the whacking of the dish-towel of Karma!

I love i when you show the two of them together! It makes me laugh and you could draw more (hint hint wink wink nudge nudge....) Thor looking down at that huge piece of "eagle-leg" or is it the whole half carcass?
Loki's bed-head is (yes, I'll say it) adorable! I also noticed Thor and his tornado!

With Loki having that adorable bed-head, I'd say he should leave it down rather than pulling it back! He's so cute and can get himself and others into sooo much trouble! He should just wear braids and have done with it....:
I wonder how Thor was able to eat those quantities he does in the Great Hall on Earth? Granted there's the eating of the goats, but still. He could go into the meat dept of any supermarket chain and reduce it to nothingness, especially the rotisserie chicken, the bakery, there goes the tenderloins.......! I'm fairly certain he can roast anything he needs with his Hammer.
I just adore that innocent "Oh look a big Turkey-Leg" look on Thor's face....

Incidentally, I love your idea about the Thjazzi-eagle making a good-sized meal for Thor. According to the Norse myths, Loki also had a huge appetite. Have you ever read Alex Beecroft's "All at Sea"? It includes three Loki stories, all of which are fun and one of which has a hungry Loki and Thor arguing over the one tiny bird leg that is all they have left to eat....
