I got the idea while I was fuming over Kirk's son (what's his name?) in the wrath of Khan. He told Kirk not to be so sad and all this bullshit about life goes on a few hours after Spock's death. I mean, what the ...?! Spock is Kirk's anchor he gives him stability how can some random idiot who's mother was freaking smiling during the funeral tell him not to be upset?! (Gawd I hate them!) And while I was angry I thought of this cute picture. I found the background somewhere on google and I think it's the orion dust (or whatever it is in English)Related content

His son's name is David Marcus, and I think most TOS Trekkies hate him. Thank God he got killed in Search for Spock.

Oh yes that was my thought. And I hated the fact that he was ignored in the Voyage Home and the final frontier but was the reason Kirk got imprisoned by the Klingons. I kind of think that the sudden hate for Klingons comes from the "Not in front of the Klingons, captain."

Oh I so agree with the Spock-being-Kirk's-anchor view!!! It's mantioned in quiet a lot fanfiction too and it's so right!!
He IS his anchor indeed just as you said an I always felt the exact same way (and Kirk is Spock's sun, a golden-shining, light-brining, splendid sun).
It may sound strange but it makes me sillily happy to see other share that impression!!
As for the funeral: You're right here too. I once read a ff in which Kirk had spent the whole night before the funeral crying and aching and Bones had watched over him (as "just" a friend of course, but caring) and only as thank to him did he acted half-way composed (and said that feeling young thing).
And his son, Marcus, just didn't know, or didn't comprehend the depth of K/S I must assume.
Thank you!

Kirk even told Spock that he gives him emotional stability in several episodes. And that he is the most important person in the universe for him ^^. I'd love to read that fan fiction, where can I find it?

Oh yes, he is, he so is! They are for each other and don't we love that?
The story is "The Need For Stars" by Carolyn Spencer and you'll find it here: [link]
Wonderful, heart-breaking story. By just going roughly through it again I think I rembered differently his reason for the "feeling-young" part but it's in there and the "real" reason is almost better. Read it!
I hope you'll like it, I love it.

Ok I've read it and it makes me cry! I couldn't sleep after the nights my friend and I watched the Star Trek movies because the fact that Spock will live about a hundred years longer then Kirk is so heartbreaking. And I'm way too sympathetic for things like that T.T .This fic made me remember that. Do you know the Star Trek comic "Spock"? It's about old Spock going to earth to visit Kirk's grave and it's so beautiful and sad!

But Kirk will always be with him. There was once a story - and can't remember the title right now, in which Spock took Kirk's katra into his own and so they were together for eternity and beyond. I found that a wonderful thought...
No, I don't know the comic but it sounds increibly sad, too sad for me. Something like this always tears me apart and it's often more pain than I can bear. But then, I read already so many devestating K/S ff and survived...I don't know how
Aaanyway, they can be happy together, and deep in my heart I know they will/are/were.
