The Master's plans keep failing because he's too careless and self-assured. And most of his plans really go like that, like in 'time Monster' or 'Logopolis'. And neither 'Castrovalva' nor 'The King's Demons' made any sense.Related content

yes Castrovalva and The Kings Demons hardly made sense,yet out of all Davisons two parters The kings Demon is my favourit.
But Planet of Fire made sense and so did Time Flight.

His priorities are a bit confused. If he just went up to the Doctor and said "I'm sorry, I miss you, please help me" as opposed to scheming for his attention, things would go MUCH more smoothly.
