Okay so it may not be much of a self-portrait because Sparky is a bit like...uhm, if you watch DannoDraws, he has a mascot that also acts like a character (Riggy), right? Well, Sparky's like that but she's also my persona so she still behaves a bit like me in real life too (so like a self-insert? well kind of but not really) so technically it's still an "self portrait", I think...moving on.

I started doing art and drawing when I was a little girl and aside from doing arts and crafts in Kindergarden and pre-school, watercolour was the first medium I remembered using before pencils and pens. It was mostly for fun back in the day but I still wanted to do a piece with those...so I did!

The colouring with it was easy enough but the shading was an absolute nightmare...you can tell that from one of the cheeks because the paper (I was using printer paper because I was used to that rather than paper made specifically for watercolour) was beginning to rip. Anyways, I used some pencils for the sketch before adding watercolour and for lineart after I was done putting the colours in. I also decided to use my set of glittery watercolour paint because...I like putting glitter in stuff!! xD

Anyways, I finally finished it off with a few more fixing of the line-art and then added gems into the bow and buttons. Honestly, it turned beautiful and very nice because it's been a bit since I last posted an non-Beano related artwork! Anyways, have a good day and keep trying new things if you could!
