Description *pets this* I am SO happy and proud of this. I mean, ok. This isn't the first time I have uploaded this...but look how pretty it is now? AND NOW WITH NUMBERS! Give me time, and I might even manage some punctuation in the near future. I decided, since it is now more complete with numbers, it needed a much nicer preview. AND THE BESTEST PART?!?! I actually used the font file to make this. I was just pixelling out each letter, even after it was converted, but NO MORE! For those who might have some trouble with pixelly font (like me!) I found this works WELL when you set your font size to 3. Enjoy, don't claim that you made it, and let me know if you use it!

A HUGE thank you to the marvelous `Mirz123 for taking the time to convert my little pixel reference sheet into an actual font.

Here >> Hibernation Art FeatureWe endured a pretty nasty ice storm here in upstate NY this morning. The town struggled for hours to get the roads cleared, but there's a stubborn solid inch of ice still on our roads. Travel is out of the question, but we knew this was coming so were prepared to enjoy a nice long weekend inside.
I took the opportunity to finally tackle Pixel Art for the first time. I'd created my fair share of animated graphics in my time, but I had never created art one pixel at a time before... never had the patience for it! Learning new things is my drug of choice though, so I was determined!
I started with Tutorials
I only had to read through a couple of tutorials before realizing that I was just going to have to dig in and work through it. These tutorials sent me into Photoshop with all I needed to know (I thought).

Then I found "Base Packs"
I know I'm not the only one that sees all the deviations on the ri
Is there any chance of getting the punctuation added to this font?
Just wondering lol!

Maybe I'm just an Idiot but every font I try to use looks horrible.
I always put It on the recommended size and It just looks like a tiny blur. I don't understand how you're supposed to work with pixel fonts?
I'm just trying to get a nice font for a stamp .-. As you can see this font looks 100000000000000000000x better when It's huge but stamps are small, and small sizes for pixel fonts don't seem to work, what am I supposed to do. I'm using Photoshop CC 5.

I haven't used one of these fonts in years (got a new computer and never installed a new program) and I have never dabbled with Photoshop.  You could try searching for pixel font tutorials on dA, it is usually a fount of information on things like that.

Hope you get it figured out!

ARGH! I can't make this font a part of my fonts!

HOW WOULD YOU DO IT?! And...I love it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SparklyDest In reply to DryBones44 [2011-07-24 13:30:50 +0000 UTC]

Download it...open it with win.rar if necessary...then find it on your computer and copy it, paste it in your "Fonts" folder, normally found in your Control Panel. I hope that helps!

Thanks!

Oh, and not to be a bother again..but...how DO you make a font?

SparklyDest In reply to DryBones44 [2011-07-24 19:30:08 +0000 UTC]

I am so glad you are excited to use it! I have a few others in my gallery too.

Well, for me, personally, I have to pixel out each letter in my paint program. Then I head over to www.fontstruct.com and create the file there, pixelling each letter out.

DryBones44 In reply to SparklyDest [2011-07-28 21:21:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I'll have to do that sometime.

Anyways, I just wanted to say your font ROX!

Will you make a version with the sparkles?
Just kidding.
But that would be cool.
You'd probably end up wasting your time though.
Am I wasting your time?
If I am, sorry.

SparklyDest In reply to inoner [2011-07-20 11:29:13 +0000 UTC]

I thought about making a version with the sparkles...but it would be quite tough. And I doubt many people will use it. I might though...one day.

And no...no you aren't.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

inoner In reply to SparklyDest [2011-07-20 15:02:38 +0000 UTC]

Maybe the people who use it will just have to add their own sparkles.
I would!
But I don't know how to draw sparkles.
