grey value #'s 000000 FFFFFF (uhdur) and red #390B0D. total color count was 6447 with the gradients. that's like four ten-thousandths of the 24 bit 16mil. i think we call that a "swish." *dunk gesture*
a lot of ladies probably won't like this. fuck them. i think it's hot. one of the things that drew me to Greed was that he wasn't SUPER KAWAII GAYBOI HIGHSCHOOL CLUB GEAR BISHOUNEN in every shot. he looks drawn here, worn out. and he is. minutes before his death in Dante's mansion. i'm not -that- old (like over thirty; no offense) but sometimes i like men who are. anyone who knows my original project is probably aware of this. and that i like even stranger things
and i don't wanna hear it if you don't like my red-headed Greeds. grey, blue, or brown are sucky black hi's. purple is worse. *spletcchh* except on chick characters.but here's Greed. Raw Deal was the MBD song i repeated a couple of times when i was finalizing it. posting the lyrics ain't enough... ain't about the lyrics... well a little... but they're not much without the fuckin geet'rs wailin' in the background. i told u i wz addicted D:

Greed is property of the rightsholders to the series to which he belongs and i am depciting him face-to-name without permission like i have done many times before. i took it down a long time ago, i got tired of the faceless faves and misplaced fandom. it was also really unimaginative; just a colored version of a manga pose. i only kept up the two i thought i contributed to more as far as style and effort. the fact that a picture i just regurgitated from a famous drawing was THE MOST POPULAR in my gallery and no one even thanked me for it made me kinda uncomfortable. people also stole it a lot! even if it was just a shitty stolen pose anyone could have drawn (and lots of other people did) it ticked me off. i didn't trace it, i worked hard on it, it's like... gimme a break ya know?
i'm glad you shared your interest with me, though. there's not enough of that.

Awww! Well you worked hard on it, the fact that other people loved it above all your other works to me isn't a great reason to take it down. I really like it, cuz it's done like this one, with the snazzy lines, and the beautiful colouring. You took an awesome picture, and made it a bjillion times more awesome. I've 'regurgitated' famous drawings before, too, and I know it's REALLY hard, but can come out awesome once it's done. You can do what you want with your art, though, it's your choice
My most popular pic in my gallery (800+ faves, I forget) has also been stolen fifty million times, but I am too lazy to care. But anywyas, like I said, it's up to you what you do with your own art ^.^; I respect that.
May you continue to draw whatever the heck you want and delete whatever the heck you want

heehee i didn't have the heart to delete it-- it's in storage. if you want a hi-res version or something i can reload it for a while. but it just didn't represent me, above all else, i resented the fact it wasn't my own character or creation but was synonymous with my entire presence here (for a while.) which wasn't huge, but it's me-- i want that to BE me. wholly enough.

Oh XD Yeah I wanted a high res version very much! I think everyone loved it cuz of the way it was coloured and the mood of the colouring and such. Not just cuz of the character or the pose or anything. I am aware that its a picture that has been copied many times but I think you did the best at it! VErrrry best. Making you the ruler of Greed fanart on DA. Even though you don't care and want to be something else... Errr. I guess I just don't see the same way cuz over half my own gallery no longer represents who I am XD But everyone likes that art so I leave it there. that really means a lot. i had no idea how big the picture was until someone once turned it into an avatar (i got kinda mad actually lol) but no one had otherwise really thanked me for it. i just knew it got lots of faves and was reposted a bajillion times; i felt used! XD

i didn't realize i had taken it down; kinda mad at myself for that one this is the picture i actually LIKE. it's also reffed, but in the shot he's so small i had trouble making the hands and his features look right and had to use other refs. by the time i learned to draw his face from my imagination i was already getting over the fandom. XD
anyhow. thanks for the interest. it was really nice to get some real, interpersonal return from my Greed days instead of just a smack-on-the-ass fave.

I like Greed. He was the coolest Homunculus by far.
Know something I liked? He kind of looks a little like Hades from Disney's Hercules in my opinion. And Hades was awesome, too, so.

Ahh~ This is excellent. Greed's definitely one of my favorite characters, one of the reasons being what you explained already [how he wasn't the typical pretty-boy, bishie, fangirl-magnets].
He is definitely one of the best FMA character in the show :3

Wow this is a really somber looking Greed than what I remember (however I'd be pretty damn somber too before I die). Wonderful work, gives a different view of Greed and the strong features hear pop out with the most grayscale color scheme (the dark purple/violet pops out very nice against the gray...scwha!)

yeah, it was for their 3CP contest and actually a couple people picked almost the EXACT red that i did. but i guess i rocked it better... whooped the contest's ass. almost won a sub but i gave it away ( i mean i got one already).
i'm glad ya like the somberness, that's actually why i chose this picture and believe it or not, a lot of people don't like this shot because it isn't typical "greed." he's.... low.

Yeah, I gotta agree with ~tamatava there, Greed is manly man hot :B 'Cause, I couldn't say it any other way that that.
Also, Greed's pretty badaaass, soo, yeah, that's adds to it.
But, I gotta say, that's one hell of a way to use gradients. This has to be your best work to-date, no joke. The world needs more serious!Greed art.
Well, everybody's said it, but, the rugged-look you gave him just fits perfectly with his character. Really gave good ol' Greed some justice with this.

i am so happy that people agree, i fulfilled what set out to do. the world is a better place. as for it being my best work, i wouldn't agree with that. the limited palette makes it look a lot more complex and coordiated than it really is in my opinion. also the fact that it's fanart kind of... makes me consider deleting it when it hits 6mo after post.

Wow, when I first saw this, I had to go to school and didnt had anytime to comment or even fav on it.. I have to say coloring is superb, and the expression on Greed shows us the another side of Greed.. Tired and Vunerable. I think you really did wonderful job and in my opinion, consider this one of the best FMA fanart I have seen. @_@ It was really a shame I missed out the oppourtinity to comment and fav on it.
