Had a nice weekend at Con-G in Guelph.I am Dave Strider, pictured here with Matt ( www.gimcrackarcheologist.tumblr.com ) as John. We each made our own props. I am so in love with my time tables.

I can't take the credit for it. xD Matt (John) made it. I just made the ghost (out of Kraft Model Magic).
The hammer handle is also made from Model Magic. Everything else is wood (wooden dowel and smaller pieces. The springs are heavy duty, from a surplus store in Toronto. I think they were hammered into the head of the hammer.
That's all I know about it though.

Saddly I am in school and haven't had the time for such fun. This particular con was about 1 hour away from home. I can't imagine getting to Chicago from Toronto with so many other irons in the fire.

How did I make them? How did I make them float?

they were were made out of a really big sheet of insulation foam. I carved the four shapes (two circles and two cog shapes) and glue them together. Then I glued records on top. Theyre painted with acrylic

I also have heard of some daves who have their tables actually spinning. I have been asking every dave cosplayer on DA for god knows how long for that XD

Yeah.. they can spin.
Really any time table rigged with a loop of fishing line through the very middle of the table can spin. You just have to get a friend to give 'em a push, and then will spill til they twist up and squeeze your fingers. So maybe like.. 30 seconds of spin?
