Description The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway is a 2-Foot Narrow Gauge railroad that is being reconstructed on its historic foot print located in Alna, Maine. This wonderful railroad puts you right back into the good ol' days when you could smell the coal burning in a steam locomotive and enjoy the click-ety clack of the wheels along the jointed rails. Everything runs just as it would back in late 1800s to early 1900s when the railroad actually ran for business including signaling with the original kerosene lanterns at night time to laying down new rails, ties, ballasting and tamping by hand and much more. They officially have about a mile and a half of track laid and steam trains generally run on every weekend during the summer.

If you are at all interesting in the railroad, let me know and I can give you many details of this great historic museum.
