Description Had this idea not to long ago. Involving Fox McCloud and a horrific event that he had to go through. The terrible images he had witnessed, as well as the evil he had to face in the darkness of an abandoned vessel.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy reading ^^

Story: Fox vessel gradually drifted in the darkness of space. The stars were the only light source, and the darkness beyond was endless. The vessel was quiet, and cold. Fox was in the back trying his best to sleep, for he had not slept in days prior.
He tossed and turned in his cyro bed, but not even the warmth of his sheets was enough. The constant depression of being alone, and the lack of companionship seemed to be getting to him, even in sleep. But what could he do? He simply lost everything and had to move on.

Suddenly the silence was broken when the ship began to beep a beacon. Fox eyes opened slowly and he sat up from his cyro bed, and hopped out. He slowly wandered towards the cockpit and noticed something quite surprising. A very dark planet. But it was not the planet the ship was warning him, it was a distress call. Fox sat in his cockpit and looked up the scanner. The distress signal was coming from the planet for sure. It appears to be a vessel calling for help.
Fox knowing his main purpose, decided to investigate. After all, he wished to help those across the galaxy. Fox set the coordinates to the vessel, then began to put on his combat suit. Once he was fitted properly, he looked back outside now seeing he had entered the atmosphere. "So strange I havent scanned this planet earlier.." he said to himself

As the planet grew nearer, Fox gained control and moved in slowly. The foggy atmosphere of the planet was not helping.
Fox descended lower, and lower "Steady..Steady.." he kept saying. Soon enough the vessel was in sight, and quite a massive one. Fox had never seen anything like it. It was obviously alien. As Fox went down to look for a way in, he noticed a gap by the hull, and flew by. Sure enough it looked like a hangar. Fox then landed safely inside, scanning if it was stable, and it was. Once he had landed. He cooled his engines down and turned to his airlock. His space helmet shifted onto him, and the doors behind him shut. Air compressed, and the second door opened.

Fox hopped out looked around his surroundings. He mainly saw what appeared to be other fighter like vessels, and multiple storage like containers. Fox looked at his scanner, and it read "Habitable." Fox took several breaths, and shifted his helmet back to his suit. The air he breathed was just like any habitable planet. "Well thats a start." Fox then looked at his wrist scanner and focused his contact to the distress signal. "Reporting distress signal, can anyone hear me? Over." he waited for a reply. But nothing happened.
"Reporting distress signal, can anyone hear me? Over." he repeated. But still, no response. Of course they were alien, but they should have at least responded. Or perhaps they are terrified.

Fox then explored his surroundings and noticed a strange pattern on the wall. He walked over examining it. "What a strange design..." he reached out to touch it, then the shapes of the wall pressed inward, and shifted around. It was a door. Fox aimed his blaster. In the door was complete darkness. Fox breathed slowly, then activated his shoulder light, and began to walk inside. As he walked in, the doors behind him shut. Fox took another breath and looked ahead. "I hope they open for me again." he said quietly. "Computer, scan area for mapping." His wrist glew and two small dots popped out and began to zoom down the dark hallway, exploring the entire ship. As they did, a 3d map appeared on Fox wrist. Fox continued down the dark hallway, then noticed on his map another room. He saw a door with the same pattern and did as he did before. It opened, and to his surprise, the room was lit. He walked in the room exploring it. He looked around trying to figure out what it could be. He noticed several other doors, and some computer like devices. Yet, it seemed untouched for a long time. A very long time.
Fox was now becoming nervous. He looked at his wrist and followed the map.

He noticed another doorway and opened it. Inside was a very small room. "What the?" he walked inside and the doors shut behind him, a light appeared showing various buttons. Fox looked at them, and pressed the middle one. The room began to lift. "Oh, an elevator." Fox said and waited as the room lifted. Once it reached the doors opened slowly, to another pitch black hallway, followed by a strange noise at the end.
Fox remaining head strong walked down the hallway with his blaster ready. He listened closely and wandered deeper and deeper. He then noticed a door. "Ah, yes." he smiled and opened it. Another much larger room. And he found out what the noise was. It was these massive turbine like machines that kept whirling and stopping, then whirling and stopping.

Fox frowned and was puzzled. "What could possibly be the distress signa-" in the corner of his eye he saw movement, he then aimed. "Someone there?" silence. "Im here to help, Im harmless....Unless your harmless. Anyone?" still no answer. He walked slowly to where he saw the movement. He turned in a corner. Another hallway, at the end was light, but some shadows, it looked like some sort of machines. Fox walked down the hallway slowly "Hello?" he called out, still having his blaster ready. He wandered down the hall, but quickly turned around hearing a noise behind him. He saw nothing.
He then slowly turned back around only to find one of the shadowy images was gone. Fox gripped his blaster tighter and walked down the hall. When he reached the end he turned around, seeing these odd piston like machines. Few were working the rest seemed to have been shut down for a while. Fox walked in the strange room, looking at the walls for anything, he was not on edge.

Suddenly he heard something, this time is sounded like whispers. He turned around aiming, then turned around again, hearing the whispering. Fox green eyes shifted in the dark shadowy light, then his head began to hurt. "AH...AH!" he held his head gently. "What..?" He then heard a voice. "You...Come closer....Through here..." a door opened slowly to the side of him. Fox then replied "Who are you? Whats your distress?" the voice did not reply. Fox then looked at the door and did as told. He walked down another hallway, and then what appeared to be another elevator. Fox entered it and it automatically rose up. Once the doors opened, Fox walked out and now noticed he was in what appeared to be a data room. Multiple monitors, and even seat like furniture.
Fox took steps forward but held his head again "AHH!" The voice whispered. "You came for the distress...Good..." Fox replied "Yes, I have, im here to help. Where are you? Trust me I really want to help." The voice then replied "Yes I know you do. I can see it in your mind. But your help is not needed." Fox raised a brow "What? Then why send the distress signal?" The voice seemed to grow darker "Because it is not I who is in distress...." The doors surrounding Fox shut hard and seemed to lock. Fox looked around aiming his blaster. "Damn!" he growled and looked for his foe.

"Show yourself!" Fox looked around more "I demand you show yourself!" Fox turned only to be face to face with a horrific looking creature "As you wish." it said and then smacked Fox hard across the room. He flew and hit the wall "UH!" he snarled then opened fire. The creature disappeared in the darkness. "That pathetic weapon wont save you prey.
You will be consumed just as they have." Fox got to his feet, looking nervously. The creature hopped down behind him, before Fox could turn, it grabbed his arm and lifted him up, smacking him across the ground several times "AHH! UHG!" Fox cried out, he then snarled and aimed and fired, a bolt hitting one of the creatures eyes. It screeched horribly and let him go. Fox landed and then shot at a door, some metal fell off, and the door opened. Fox dashed for it. "No you wont!" it said in his mind and tried to grab him, Fox escaped down the hallway, panting hard. "Damn it! I need to get out!" he stopped at the end and hit the door several times. It was an elevator, but it wasnt at his level yet. "No, DAMN!" he turned around hearing the creature. It was now in the hallway, crawling towards him "Once I get you...Ill rip off your skin...!" Fox fired more bolts, the creature hissed in pain. The door behind Fox finally opened, he hopped in and shut the door just in time. It began to rise again "What? No I want to go down, down!" he tried but it wouldent work.

The door opened to a much larger room. This one was definitely the bridge. Fox walked inside, then noticed a modual. He rushed over and began to scan it "Maybe theres a faster way out!" he thought. His scanner rushed and then found his ship. "Yes! perfect!" Fox smiled. But then a massive burst was heard, and metal plates flew, Fox leaped forward, and dodged one. The creature burst in screeching. Fox opened fire, but this time it dodged them leaping in the dark corners. "Your efforts are meaningless....Im merely in my weak state..Once I get what I need from you I will be unstoppable." Fox snarled "What do you need? What do you want?!" his head hurt again "Why your ship of course....And your coordinates...Once im done with you...I will visit.....Lylat.."
Fox eyes went wide "W-What?" "Thats right little mammal...I can feast on your memories....Lylat will be a perfect warm up.."
Fox snarled "Over my dead body!" The creature laughed darkly "Thats the plan..."

Suddenly Fox was hit hard in the face, the creature lunged forward and gashed his chest plate, then his face "AHH!" Fox held his face then fired at the creature it screeched in pain "Youl suffer horribly for that!" it screamed in his head. Fox reloaded then prepared to shot again, but was smacked across the head, and then one of the creatures tentacles pierced through his visor. The glass in it shattered, as well as sparked violently. Fox held his right eye, as it was in intense pain. "AHHHH!" he opened his left eye, only to see another tentacle smack him hard in the chest, and send him flying against the wall. Fox coughed and grabbed his blaster "Grrr...AHH!" he aimed only to see nothing "...!"

He stood up and looked around, now even more difficult with only one eye. "Your vitals are becoming weaker....I can feast on your emotions...Your fear creeps up your spine....Good..." Fox snarled "Shut up! SHUT UP!" he looked more "Thats it...get angry...Thats what the last one did.." "I SAID ENOUGH!" Fox focused more, turning around multiple times.
He then heard a noise and turned around. Nothing. He turned again to be greeted by a smack to the jaw. "AHA!" he flew and landed on his back. his blaster fell from his grasp. Suddenly, the tentacles burst from the darkness, grabbing him. The first one wrapped around his neck tightly, the second around his waist, third his leg "AHH! NO!" Fox struggled, but the creature lifted him up and smacked him hard on the ground. "AH!" As it smacked him, the tentacles also squeezed tighter and tighter. "AHH!" Fox struggled more, now having trouble breathing. It smacked him again, this time Fox coughed blood. The creatures head then lowered down close to Foxes face. "Accept it....Young mammal...You have nothing to lose anymore...Other than your life...Think of this as a favor. Fox left eye looked at him weakly, and he growled. "B-Bastard...Evil thing!" The creatures black eyes shimmered.
"Oh come now....Dont say you arnt the purest of creatures....After all...Your father....Died because of your selfishness..." Fox eye grew wide "No...You dont..YOU DONT KNOW HIM! SHUT UP!" "As well as your...Team...You failed your team...Now they hate you.." Fox closed his eye and whimpered "I said enough..." The creature seemed to laugh evill. Fox looked over seeing his blaster. He reached for it slowly. "Oh and whats this deep in your heart...Love?" Fox looked at him "...?"

The creature tilted its head. "Love...You made her leave...You did not want her harmed." Fox felt a shiver up his spine. "And now she lives in sorrow....You failed her...." Fox then gripped his blaster. "You are indeed pathetic young mammal....Tell you this....Once I have killed you...And taken over Lylat...I will personally take her...And end her sorrow....With a more horrible death...." Fox sneered and shot up his arm and began to fire "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HER DEMON!" he fired more, the creature screamed and screamed. Fox continued to fire, then it released him and fell several times, Oz zing black purple goo. It then retreated in the darkness. Fox stood up weakly. "Ill kill you...You hear me? ILL KILL YOU!"

Fox panted, then held his side in pain as he coughed more blood. He struggled to walk down the hallway which he had came, but only to stumble and fall. He was exhausted. He got back to his feet, and tried to reach the elevator, only to fall again, this time on his back. He panted looking up at the ceiling as it blackened. Fox eye closed slowly "Must not...Leave..." he past out.
