Description
It seemed almost like an eternity since he was asleep. Fox's opened his good eye, seeing the ceiling again. He sat up weakly, almost dizzy from his fight still. He then got himself to his feet. "He must not be allowed to leave. Then again how could he? Theres no way off thi-" his eyes went wide. "No...My ship!" he began to quicken his pace down the hallway in search of any direction. "Damn why must this place be so huge?!" as he was running down the hallway, he stopped hearing some noises. "...!" he backed up slowly and listened carefully. The sound almost like something sliding across metal. Fox looked around him gripping his blaster tightly. He listened and watched nervously. Then suddenly silence. Only Fox's breath could be heard down the dark hallway. Then another noise was heard. It was coming from behind him. Fox turned and listened. The noise was getting closer, and closer. The sound of things flying apart. Fox's good eye went wide. He then began to run in the opposite direction.
"No no no there must be a way out!" Fox kept running then saw a gap above him, roughly five feet high. Fox jumped up and began to climb in it. Suddenly the source of the noise was discovered metal panels were being ripped from the flooring and flying about. From the floorboards came tentacles with claws attached at the ends. "Ive got you filthy mammal...." A sinister voice called out. Fox gasped and ran through the new tunnel. The thing could be heard right behind him. "There is no escape from me! You will be consumed along with your HOME!" Fox saw an opening at the end on the floor. He ran as fast as he could and jumped to it, but something caught a hold of his neck. "GAH! NO!" It was some sort of wire that hanged from the celing. Fox struggled to free himself, breathing heavily in panic. "FRESH MEAT!" the voice behind him echoed. Fox pulled out a knife and sliced the wire from him, freeing him. He quickly leaped into the hole, a tentacle barely missing him. "This isnt the end mammal! I know this place better than you! I will find you!"
Fox slid down the chasm and fell hard on the ground "OHF!" he rolled to his side and stood still. He then got to his knees breathing heavily. He then stood up and looked at his surroundings. The new room appeared to be a large chamber. Odd pipe like structures twisted and curved through out the room, and strange orbs hovered over the floor. Fox slowly walked forward trying to find a way out "The hangar must be here somewhere." he said to himself. He looked at all the strange devices. "So odd. What would these be fore." he saw some steps and went up them. He placed his hand on the side, suddenly a noise was heard. "What?" he turned realizing what he had done. He activated something. The pipes began to whine, and move slowly. The orbs began to glow. Suddenly light was now available. "Great, light!" he smiled but then frowned. "DAMN! Then that means!" he heard a more unsettling noise. "..!" he ran and hid behind one of the pillars. Suddenly the lights burst and it was now complete darkness. The only light left was one orb. Fox's back hugged the wall as he struggled to slow his breathing and remain calm. A voice chilled in the dark.
"I know you are here young fleshling....I can smell your fear...And taste your blood....There is no reason to run...It is pointless...." Fox gripped his blaster, breathing slowly but heavily. "I can see into you, your thoughts betray you....You think of home...That beautiful place in which I will go to once ive consumed your mind." Fox closed his good eye. He was scared to death. "Your friends and enemies will also perish under my feast....As will she...." Fox eye then opened almost in shock. "Yes....I know her fleshling...." his disgusting mass could be heard sliding about. "Once I get her....I will be sure her flesh is a part of me, as you will be of it..." Fox uttered a word. "No...." The voice spoke. "But I will make sure she suffers and screams before her end has come." Fox's fear evaporated into anger. He pulled out his blaster and fired in the darkness "YOU WILL DIE BEFORE YOU EVEN LAY BLOOD ON HER!" the creatures screams of pain could be heard, then a last of a tentacle whipped at Fox. It smacked his hand forcing his blaster off of him. Fox stumbled back and then was pinned to the wall. "Oh I intend to do the opposite!" The thing said. Fox sneered and pulled out his knife, he jammed it in the creatures head. It screamed and released him. Fox made a run for it passed the creature and into more darkness...
