I dreamt last night
you sent me flowers-
-big, bursting, blooming petals
and a sealed envelope
holding a love letter
-a delivery addressed through secrets
so I wouldn't know
until it landed at my door,
the soft floral scents
flowing in
with the hum of my fan.

I dreamt I wore your tee-shirt,
claiming me as yours,
and all could clearly read
your name
between my shoulders.

I dreamt of your I love yous
your breath behind my ear
as you slept
curled around my curves.

I dreamt of
you pulling me to your chest
and planting a quiet kiss
on my forehead
while you thought
I was lost in slumber.
 I dreamt of waking in the night
to find your hands
wrapped around my waist,
entwining your fingers
and arms and legs
with mine.

I dreamt of your
deep brown eyes,
the golden reflection
of the setting summer sun
and the hazy hours I spent
inches from your face,
your features
out of focus
but your intentions
incredibly clear.

I dreamt of floating
next to you,
of spiraling
deeper into the water,
your kisses
stealing my air
and the laughter
bubbles
rising to pop at the
