Soft summer sighsand sweet summer kisses
This summer sky
is full of ungranted wishes
The soft breeze circles us,
the night air heavy with secrets
Tonight, we will live in the moment
And there will be no regrets.
I look up at the clear night,
stars casting down their glow,
and I see I have discovered something
I never imagined I would know.
For on this fairy tale of a night
It's easy to believe
in all the things I've doubted,
to put my trust in you and me.
So promise me the world
and wrap yourself around me
for there is nothing sweeter
I could ask for as surroundings
Now, I can smell September
wrapped in this sweet surrender
Bright fire lit from glowing embers
Flame caught from just a spark
And though this night pulls to an end
It feels like the beginning
And with your heart so close to mine
this life seems more worth living
So if you promise that you will stay
I offer you my everything
And I will stand here by your side
come whatever may.

Man, Courtney, your writing continuously blows me away. It seriously impresses me a ton, and that's coming from a person who will be studying poetry for a living (well, kind of), so you should feel all special inside. Because you are special. And stuff.
