Of all the things I have ever wonderedthis i struggle the most with
if one's heart is broken over and over again
how many times before the pieces
cannot be gathered and put together?
how many times before the shattered remains
simply won't fit?

oh boy... i agree and disagree with both of you ....
yes my heart will always be mine and i can always piece it back together.. but it will have changed from each time.... "different shape"
and things will change
whereas... i agree that there will always be someone and im glad to have more than one of those someones....
and i agree that we should always forgive... but maybe not always... forget.

amanda is wrong. very wrong in fact. a persons heart can be broken almost to the point of disrepair, but there will always be at least one person who is willing to stick around through all the shitty times, even the worst of them, and those people will be the ones to help you repair your broken heart. and jesus was wrong too, theres a point where some people become unforgivable, and its then best to just forget about those people instead of trying to force yourself to forgive them, because trying to forgive them will just cause more pain. now, whether or not that helps or not i dont know, but i hope it does.

Never. You will always be able to put your heart back together, if you keep forgiving. Maybe it will have a little bit of a different shape, maybe a piece is missing or chipped, but it is still your heart. When Jesus was asked how many times we should forgive and move on, he said not seven, but seventy times seven, and on and on and on. Life will be filled with heartache and forgiveness, but most of all with love.
And that was way too deep of a response to a very simple rehetorical question.
