Description Harmothoe of Themiscyra.

I'd been trying to think of a good stand-in for Xena, Warrior Princess in the Apex Society Universe and it hit me that I could just take one of the lesser-known named Amazons and expand her role significantly. I picked Harmothoe, the attendant of Queen Penthesilea during the Trojan War (the word is also a genus of worms, but I like it anyway. It has "harm" in it).

That's all that's known of her in actual Greek Mythology, but in the Apex Society Universe, she was later exiled from the Plain of Themiscyra, homeland of the Amazons in modern-day Turkey, for being too soft and compassionate to a captured female slave. Hamorthoe and the girl (haven't come up with a name yet) became lovers and traveled the world - having adventures, battling empires, gods, and monsters. There was also quite a bit of time travel and other wacky shenanigans involved.

The Amazonian costume is based closely on those worn by the real-life Scythians, who scholars believe were one of the major influences on the mythological Amazons.
