Description Leviathan is a massive sea monster mentioned in the Bible and expanded upon in later Jewish and Christian folklore.

She is the enemy of the Behemoth, and according to some Jewish traditions, the two will fight to the death on the Day of Judgement only to be slain by God. Their meat will make for a feast for the Righteous and Leviathan's skin will be used as a covering to the tent where the banquet will take place (I had originally sketched Leviathan with crocodile-like legs, but in addition to a few alleged witnesses describing great fins, this would mean the creature wouldn't be Kosher, so I changed them to fins).

The Rabbi Johanan bar Nappaha described Leviathan as having horns, and Rabbi Eliezer argued that its body and especially its eyes had great illuminating power (hence the bioluminescence in this drawing).

The only creature the Leviathan is truly afraid of is a small worm called the Kibit, which clings to the gills of large fish and kills them.

Exactly what's on the tin as a reference what you said.

Caleb from Blood also says that line at the beginning of E2M1 in the "Shipwrecked" level.

Never knew the Leviathan was female

It depends on the specific tradition. The book of Enoch outright says she's female to contrast her with Behemoth, while some others suggest that Leviathan was male and his mate was destroyed by God to keep the species of overtaking the world. I went with the former for no particular reason.

I’ve heard the latter before but never the former, interesting

So this is the original Leviathan, not that huge diamond shaped floating puzzle box in a center of the labyrinth in Hellbound Hellraiser 2 or anything to do with Thomas Hobbes.....
