I was browsing dA and I found *SicPuppy 's awesome character Zero tucked away in her gallery. Now, I tend to be one of those people who, when they find a character they like, draws fanart. So I drew up some fanart of Zero while using it as a practice for lighting, especially since I hadn't attempted drawing fire until now. It's not as clean as it could be, but I like it.
Note - I have a feeling that this may look really dark on other monitors, but I don't feel much like lightening this...

That gas mask reminds me of when I was in the army and they put you in the dreaded tear gas test room... (shudders) ... but I love the wonderfully creepy effect you've made with him. This is one dangerous rodent!

The worst part was when they made you take off the stupid thing in the chamber and recite your name and social security number before you left. Of course you couldn't prevent yourself from breathing in the nasty stuff they had in there.

Love your take on Zero. He's an awesome character, particularly since I find gas masks fascinating. The lighting is just wonderful... makes me want to draw more rats.

The fire looks great by the way. Most people forget to do that litte circle thing around the flame when drawing fire, but you remembered! I'm so proud.
