Description
"If you go down to the woods today you're sure for a big surprise.Theres a 15 foot mechanized steam powered robot with great big glowy glass eyes..."
So this image is a recreation of one of my older pieces that I just wasn't happy with. I found the old one to be too messy and hastily done for my liking, so being the pedant that I am I had to go back to it and start again. I've been working on this one on and off for weeks now. If you compare it with the old one you can see I've kept the same trees, I liked them.
Anyway, I hope you like the new painting.

cool it makes me think of a post apocalyptic war world where some old machines survived but humanity has regressed and we are no longer as advanced as we were

That would be an interesting but unpleasant scenario, mankind has got this far already, can you imagine having to rediscover everything!?
Glad you like it by the way

it would be upsetting but it would be interesting to see how we advance the second time through with all the advanced tech scattered around

I suppose, and on the plus side we could avoid re-inventing awful stuff like lentil soup or Justin Beiber!

I very much like this piece--the old war machine finally finding out what it was protecting.

I thought it was the same as the version on Epilogue, but the differences between the two are interesting. Ever read the 'Bolo' stories by Keith Laumer?

I didn't realise you'd found me through epilogue, Just out of interest then, which version do you prefer? And nope, never heard of them.

TOUGH call--and I looked long at them both. I think the little boy is more convincing, he would be fascinated by the war machine... I think it might take the weapon longer to win the little girl's trust, and he would have put the sword away so as not to frighten her.
