It might be but not in this context. A lich is form of undead spellcaster.

Seeing this piece of art work and clubs you join to you should be a fan of HRGiger, obviously...
Great master piece, you totally deserve the DD.

, It took a while im quite a slow artist and I never have a plan when I start so it continiously evolves which slows things down but I like to work that way, kinda nice to get a surprise with what appears on the page

Very nice, good job! Did you paint it in its entirety or did you ever mirror one half? Any reference? In any case, thumbs up to you, and good luck!

Thanks appreciated , yeh I mirrored but still drew onto that again so there are minor differences Im a sucker for symmetry and was trying to produce flowing shapes as much as a nasty critter and felt that the symmetry added to this

This is great, Beautiful attention to detail. I only wish I was starting again instead of being from the old school of pen and paper, digital art takes on a whole new realm. It is so hard to teach and old dog new tricks. This work has hints of Giger to it, are you a fan of his work?

Thanks appreciated , I reckon having done traditional art is advantage, I have done the whole art college bit and barley touched a computer the whole time I was there. I have found that my pen/brush tech is just as relevant on the puter. Have you got a graphics tablet because that makes all the difference. I find that doing digital also gives me more freedom to experiment because I can always go back to the last save, maybe this is a bad thing in some ways too, the pressure maybe a good thing sometimes with traditional work. But anyway id give digital a go but if you enjoy your trad thats all good too
oh yeh I am a giger fan

Yeh it can take a while to get used to the old tablet, Think I was quite lucky it felt right straight away, have heard of lots of people that struggle at the beggining though, worth sticking with it!
Didnt recognise the name Escher so just checked out online, turns out I recognise loads of the Art, I have a book of optical illusions with some of it in there, love all that, mixed with Giger would be something to see

Yes, I bought a tablet last year and have only just started to use it, oyu can see from my last entry I still have a bit to go before I feel comfortable in using it. I have another old drawing that I want to render on the computer, but before I do I will put a copy of it on here in pencil state.
Always wondered what it would look like if Giger and Escher ever got together

Love the giger inspiration (no offence meant!) It also reminds me slightly of Dagon - a very cheesy creepy film about these fish-like race, a creation of H. P. Lovecraft - very creepy teeth - just like your picture! Love, love, love it
