The thing that really gets to me though is when artists are able to do this; border on realism, but keep it pulled back far enough to add their own touch of uniqueness to the picture c:
It's a very unique design too c: I mean, of course, when you first see it you think 'Giger', but then you actually LOOK at it, and it's completely different, the whole webbing of the head carapace intermingling with everything else in the picture, well it works neh? xD
Tubing's certainly the big shape in the picture neh?

Hey Thanks bud ,appreciate the feedback. You cheered me up with your "first see it you think 'Giger', but then you actually LOOK at it, and it's completely different" Ive had loads of peeps tellin me how its gigerish, which is a huge compliment and appreciated but I dont wanna be a tribute band! Obviously ther is an influence there but I think I take as much influence from the curves and lines of Celtic knotwork and art nouveau.

I can't really say that you can make immediate assumptions when looking at artwork of this caliber, you really have to keep your eyes open and study it :>
Oh yes~ ;D I can definitely see how art nouveau brings itself into there, I can definitely see how it reflects materials like marble all through it :B
