They look great. some basework would look good, but the models are superb. how do you paint the yellow armor?

Actually I've revamped my method for 'mellow yellow' recently. The new models actually look better. It's a base of Llyanden Darksun, built up over three or four thin layers, followed by a wash of Gryphonne Sepia into only the recesses, don't plaster that stuff on, then I tidy up the base coat and highlight it in three or four stages with Llyanden Darksun mixed with gradually more and more Dheneb stone. It's a lengthy technique, so I only use it on particularly special models, generally speaking for basic infantry you can leave out most of the highlighting.

nice i just use golden yellow and pour fiery orange into the receases

I find that tends to make things look like they're on fire, though if you're going for bright and cartoonish then that's absolutely the way to go. I tend to head for a gritty and realistic look with my models, hence why you can't really tell if my Steel Legion are actually painted or just undercoated.

I'v been ill for the last few days so I had hoped to get the rest of the squad done, but with a queezy head and slightly blurred vision, I don't trust my hand-eye coordination.
