I`m not sure wchat is proper and generally accepted name of the style from the turn of the century
not only metal grating but whole picure reminds me that style

Thank you very much! There is a lot of French influence in Allepo - pre WWI. In places it looks like badly decayed parts of New Orleans. There is a movement to preseve the ancient Islamic architecture and hopefully the French colonial architecture will bennefit also.

I really like this picture, I love the way the light gets brighter the further back the picture your eyes move and what the sun does to the shadows of the tree leaves in the background
