1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
This was a fun prompt to work with! I felt that I had a lot of freedom while the specifics let me hone in on particular things. One thing that gave me pause while brainstorming was thinking that some of the wishlist elements could have been interpreted in a stereotypical manner, which I wanted to avoid. I hope the end result is satisfactory.

2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
The wish list was pretty clear, so before I got started doing any sketches, I first decided to look at the creature and build the character from that starting point. I researched various ungulates and hooved animals native to Africa and chanced upon a strange variation of a zebra, the now-extinct quagga. This is a zebra-like animal, dark brown with white stripes on its head/neck and white legs. Centaurs are already mythical in nature, so basing one on an extinct equine seemed natural. I liked the way the white stripes looked against the dark pelt, so I worked that into the design by giving this centaurina natural white markings on her skin like the quagga. (And since zebras and okapis are quite over-represented among African-themed centaurs, this definitely caught my eye as a [hopefully] more creative option.)

Since this creature was native to South Africa, the next step was to look for tribal customs/fashion from that region. There are hundreds of tribes all over the African continent and South Africa is no exception. Instead of copying one exactly (and probably messing something up without knowing it, as I am no anthropologist) I decided to draw basic inspiration from many sources and combine them into something new; something that a race of (extinct?) tribal centaurs might wear. Colorful beads were a feature I liked a lot, especially with the dark/monochrome color scheme of the quagga, as well as dyed cloth and ropes. This particular costume is one I imagine would be worn during a festival or special occasion, hence the banner.

The owner may change anything about the design (especially hair/clothing, as these would change depending on the occasion).

Thanks! I was trying to think of what a centaur might wear in a hot environment and this is what I came up with.
