Ah man thank you <3 I'm glad the Jester is getting some love! I always thought people would go for the more..'normal' looking races so this really really makes me happy.

Shilusk is the creepiest one. That smile sort of thing, gives me the shivers. A big heart for that <3

Hehe I love the natural creepy look on their faces as well; they are fun but challenging to draw. Thank you <3

They're all so fantastic... but the Swifthorn remains to be my favorite

The Xiar look interesting, what is the rest of their body like?
Though I have to agree with Coyotefeather90, I think the Jester is probably one of my favorite, it and the Inrevnmmezkv, they just look really cool.

I sadly don't have one image with their full body drawn out but I have bits and pieces and sketches all over the place. Here are a few to get a better look [link]
Thank you! I really enjoy those two species; they tend to not get enough love, I'm glad you like them.

Ok, so they're upright bipeds. I was wondering if they had some kind of more exotic body design. Is the strange structure over the front of the head part of the body, or some kind of clothing? Do both sets of stalks have eyes on them?

To give a better image of how they walk [link] I'm horrible at explaining things I'm sorry ha ha ;;

They are not upright all the time; they are designed to walk on all fours. I just positioned them upright in those drawings. They are an aquatic race and they tend to shuffle along the ground on all fours outside of the water.
The structure is part of the body and the stalks have have a sort of specialized optical on each one but it is more for communication underwater than vision.
The bipedal races are bipedal for a reason; I have races that have more exotic body designs. Whether a race is bipedal or otherwise shows what common ancestor they have. Bipedal bodies can be just as interesting as other body types in my opinion.

Ok, I caught the similarities to nudibranch in the head. I just wasn't sure how the rest of the body was put together. What kind of evolutionary history does this species have? Are they aquatic transitioning to terrestrial, or the other way around?
I shouldn't imply that they are less "interesting", however most existing large animals have the very familiar tetrapod body design. I was wondering if a creature with such an "unfamiliar" head, also had a similarly "unfamiliar" body-plan.

Terrestrial to aquatic; they are semi-aquatic now, no idea what they'll become in the future but they make their living helping out the other sea side races with getting rid of pest species near the ports and such. I have a few races that are fully aquatic.
Oh no I get what you mean now. Basically most of the bipedal races have humanoid ancestors called 'Archwing'. They are an ancient race of beings that were able to shape shift to an extent. Even though the modern day technology in Laynair (universe where all of these guys live) is very advanced, they lost a lot of the Archwing technology which is a long story. In short the Archwing were bred to be able to hybridize with many races so they were the evolutionary start to many of the bipedal/humanoid like races today including the Xiar.
Slap me if I'm rambling ha ha.
