Some more Lanian world things. This is a creature called a Thresh. They are a sentient race that let people ride them around cities as a taxi like service. They also charge to accompany travelers in the wilderness.Related content

Utilitary-people is my jam!! What a creative and fun idea, I especially appreciate how the Thresh are a sepient race and seem to love their position in society. At the moment, do you have any resources/places where I can learn more about the Lanian world and its people? There's so much charm, I look forward to hearing more.
How does one ride a Thresh? I imagine the faster ones have gear for high-speed dashes through the city, haha. Hop in, hold on, we're going!

Thank you! Yes I am very interested in different species of creature living together and what roles they choose for themselves! Having such varied bodies and abilities and contributing in all sorts of ways.
I unfortunately don't have one spot that you can look up information easily; it's all scattered about documents and such. I do have the Lanian language written out and a few documents written up talking about the rules the city officials play in certain things lemme see if I can dig them up.

As for riding a Thresh they definitely have gear! I really need to illustrate it at some point but they do 'dress up' and have a comfy seat for folks to sit in!

That's my kinda worldbuilding! Variety is the best because it makes plenty of opportunities for culture and character development. For a bite-sized intro, what's the scope of your universe (world? galaxy?) and about how many different species/races do you work with? Do you have any storylines you work with? I can't wait to learn more about it all, so thanks for the links! Gonna read 'em tomorrow during laundry, hehe.

In some places it's a free public service and they are paid by the city officials but for the super long treks out into the wilderness they charge by day. Prices tend to be fair!
