Description
The Hesperus-class prowler was a class of stealth vessels in service with the United Nations Space Command Navy and Office of Defence Intelligence between 2561 and 2693. During its service, the Hesperus-class saw action during the final years of the Remnant War against the Covenant Remnant, later the Galactic War from 2622 until 2633, and finally the Swarm War between that year and the end of its service. The Hesperus-class was a small, highly specialised vessel intended for a small number of roles, including covert reconnaissance, electronic intelligence and surveillance, landing of special operations forces, and covert strikes on enemy assets. To accomplish these tasks, the Hesperus-class, like Human-Covenant War-era prowlers that preceded it, was equipped with a substantial array of electronic equipment, as well as highly specialised and effective stealth measures. As a result of this, the prowler had the highest cost-to-tonnage ratio of any warship operated by the UNSC Navy. The UNSC Navy had over 9,000 Hesperus-class prowlers in operation by 2620. Defence Intelligence also operated a further 430 vessels.Drawn in Inkscape. Not entirely happy with this design, with more time going to tweaking it afterwards than actual creation. Awesome design!
Could I possibly use it for the novel I am writing on blogger? It is sort of an erotic/military novel. Feel free to have a read.
If you give me permission to use it I will give full credits to you/anyone else who contributed to this.

Well that's quite the neat ship design, though wouldn't it have been better to make the engine profile a little less..."oh I'm here, shot me!" or at least that's vibe I'm getting here.....still it's a awesome yet simplistic design, just how you would like it to be....

So this is what you do with my rejected drawings

You didn't want it, but there's no reason why it should go to waste

Yeah, I guess it looks pretty nice when it's meant to be a prowler and not a frigate.

Now that looks sharp, streamlined, and very stealthly. And it's much better balanced I think. In my opinion, this is definitely the way to go.

It's only now that I realise how fat and un-stealthy the previous version was. I'm more or less happy with this now, thankfully.

I like it for the most part, but I think the top of the engine is to tall. Because it rises up higher than the rest of the ship, it immediately draws your eye to it and sort of throws off the balance of the rest of the ship. I would suggest making that piece no higher than the main hull, or even just slightly lower then the main hull.

Good advice, I'll give it a try! I've probably made more minor adjustments to this design than any other I've done so far. Maybe eventually there'll be a cumulative effect!

It's all part of the process, or at least I think so. There might be a case for tweaking a design too much, but I generally think the more revisions you make to something, the better it will eventually end up being. That's probably why I have a difficult time finishing anything. I'm always in a constant state of revision. lol

I normally can't stop tweaking a design until I'm happy with it, and sometimes if that's taking too long I bin it instead. I guess I'm lazy like that!
