Description
Irony it seemsThat the killer went free
He admitted his guilt
But still he went free
The dried blood was under his nails
His fingerprints on the weapon
His face in the photo
But still he went free
His motives were obvious
His poison was jealousy
And he had drank his fill
But still he went free
He never lost composure though
Even as he slowly slit her throat
He even stared coldly into her crying eyes
But still he went free
Perhaps the reason the killer went free
Perhaps the reason is that jury was me
Perhaps the reason that the jury said free
Perhaps the reason is that killer is me

I like it.. especially how all the verses end with "But still he went free"
If you dont mind me asking... what motivated you to write this?

Actually the poem is about a variety of situations i have been either victim to or taken part in.... It's about how you can hurt someone even scar them emotionally and still somehow convince yourself you were innocent even though you know that it is all your fault...
