Description
Please welcome the second addition to my little herd of original characters! She's also my very first adopted design, which is exciting! (Take a look at the bottom of my comments for info on where and from whom I got her.)This is the lovely Fayette, and she’s pleased to meet you.
Name Fayette
Sex Female
Age 5 years
Breed ¼ Quiarota , ¾ Thoroughbred
Color Red Dun [e e / A a / D d / Spl spl]
Markings Splash Overo ; Irregular Blaze
Status Captive, Unpaired
Brief Story Fayette was brought from a ranch elsewhere in the world. She was not purposefully bred as part of a Quiarota breeding program, but her dam was a half-breed. Fayette’s grandsire was a captured stallion of unknown origin, although his pedigree is established and so Fayette is decidedly pure in her
Quiarota heritage. The rest of her lines come from the thoroughbred horses on the ranch where she was born.
Fayette’s purpose, for now at least, is to be the first member of a captive herd that will house several foundational, wild-born Quiarota . She is currently residing with the stallion Quituo and Paean , our purebred mare. Fayette will stay with Quituo as a companion and herd member, as he is expected to lead a captive herd at the location once more Quiarota arrive.
It is possible for Fayette to eventually become bonded to Quituo as a mate but, given her minimal heritage with the breed and the pair’s lack of familiarity, this cannot be accurately predicted.
Fayette has displayed highly affectionate tendencies. She is a caretaker by nature, readily protecting those around her and bonding to others easily. She is highly valuable in her herd for largely this reason. Her excellence in this area, therefore, fosters very strong relationships between herself and others, and this is considered her most apparent inherited quality from the Quiarota breed. This is applied to human caretakers, but is predominant among her equine peers. The herd she resides in, though captive and living on private land, has as little contact with humans as possible in order to keep its members as “wild” as possible. This encourages natural herd dynamics and behavior, but still provides ample oversight and supervision to foster an education and healthy breeding program.
Although she is highly easygoing and smooth by nature, Fayette has very sharp senses and is constantly attuned to her surroundings. If and when she is bred (which will be limited in order to keep purebred bloodlines in her herd), she is expected to fill a maternal role ideally.
BREEDING INFO
While Fayette is likely to play a minimal role in breeding within her herd of Quiarota , she may be available on a limited basis for outside breeding opportunities. This availability will be highly reduced in the event that she pairs with another member of the herd. If you are interested in a foal out of Fayette, please send me a note and we can discuss the possibility.
QUIAROTA INFO
This is an original breed of my creation. If you are interested in acquiring a Quiarota of your own, please note me with your request. I am willing to create a design for you (which, depending on demand and time commitment, may be associated with a small price of a few points), and I am also willing to approve an original design of your creation. We can discuss specifics on a case-by-case basis. As a third option, check out Quituo’s for information on using my foundational stallion as a sire to create a half-breed or a purebred foal.
Also, be sure to visit the page where the other four foundational Quiarota are currently available for free adoption.
Thanks for looking! I'll be updating his story and status if/when necessary in the future.
[Please don't steal. This is an original character within an original breed. I will be happy to accomodate/work with you in creating your own - so please don't take advantage of my hard work! This lineart is mine, too, and is also not free.]

This lovely mare was adopted as a wee little filly’s design – so a big thank you to ~TsonianFieldsRanch for Fayette’s beginnings!
