Wandered up into the ruins where Nero had his palace and gardens to look down upon the Roman Forum. This area is the central focus of where most of the great ancient Roman ruins are located. Most of Rome's ruling and daily operations were ran from this area. It was very humbling to see it all, taking in the history. The Colosseum is off to the far right edge of this photo. What is left of Trajans Market and Forum is by the large arches mid right. Trajan was a great architect, and most of what he built was standing in tact, until around 950 AD, when a pope tore down the white marble to use in his own plans.
