For me, I'd actually say this is a slight step up from season 2. Granted it's got its issues (Pony Head and the Magic High Commission get worse, shipping stuff can be pretty hit and miss), but there were some pretty great things too like Tom's redemption and character growth and Eclipsa in general is pretty great. I will say though that it did improve a bit once they finally got the Miss Heinous arc underway and the season finale was very satisfying.
That said, will the show end with a bang for its fourth and final season or will it end out with a whimper?

Why is Scent of a Hoodie the worst episode of the season for you?

Well shit,haven't seen season 3 yet (or 4 for that matter) but I was hoping that it could have at least slightly fixed some of the issues I had with season 2. But looking at this now,my hopes aren't that high anymore

I loved Battle For Mewni, but I stopped keeping up with the show after Sophomore Slump (which I hate, by the way.)

The entire Battle for Mewni arc (particularly Toffee).

Marco and the King was annoying and boring filler, King Ludo was kind of dull, Puddle Defender was also sort of dull (though the board game scene was kind of amusing), and Toffee started off great but got worse when Star got sucked in the wand leading to the convoluted anti climax with how eaily Toffee is killed and with Star getting a form that was never (or poorly) foreshadowed.
