Um... well, I would use another word, but yeah!
Maybe, it could be a bloody space core, which is screaming "Dead SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!", instead of just "SPAAAAAAAACE!"... So I'm not sure that the world need such a one.
Um... Didn't want to tell it to people, but it's the only relevant reason why I wanted to make a dead space core: Me and a couple of my friends have just finished playing Portal 2, when I began (re-began, after I realized that I'm totally stuck with the tentacle, without bullets) playing Dead space. We all loved the ending of Portal 2, and everybody had an opinion about the Space core (personally I used to think that he's stupid and annoying, but my opinion have changed by the time). Anyway, I got addict to Dead Space, and I used every free minute to occupy the computer and play it... I was talking about Dead Space all the time, and "Dead Space" usually were the words I used to say, when I'm entering the room. So, they related me to space core, and every time I was launching the game, they were saying "Dead Spaaaaaace!"
Sounds stupid... I know, but after a week it sounded so natural, and only after I finished the game, I understood that I really shouldn't have spend SO much time for this game... Well, this is how I got the idea of dead space core, and I wanted to draw it, but, in the end, I decided to not. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see that work of you...

Yeah, admittedly I've only thought of the idea recently. A Core of it would probably have those yellow pustules/sacks filling it and fleshy strands along it.
