It takes very little to get me inspired to do something, such as one positive feed back to my toonzilla cast journal and I was already motivated enough to get started on a pic.So here we have Mr and Mrs MUTO
Mr MUTO works at King Ghidorah's company which is why he tries to be neat with a tie.
I was tempted to give Mrs MUTO a pearl necklace or something but I decided "Nah painted nails" would be better/more amusing for her.
Mrs MUTO is the one who wears the pants in their relationship.
Mr MUTO is fiercely protective of his 'little snooky-wooky-poo' and yes he does call her that.
Mrs MUTO probably is Mothra's best friend and hangs out at her place a lot.

If you think about it.
The movie is mainly about a couple dragged into a violent, uncaring, world that has long rejected their kind. Hunted and chased by an All powerful un-Godlike Beast that cannot be reasoned with and they know they can never defeat. But still they try to survive while being continually ambushed by creatures that hold an animosity towards them that they cannot understand.
Their whole quest culminating into a tragic conclusion, ending with the deaths of their children. Their sadness turns to Anger as they lash out to the beings that destroyed their kin. Only to find out that the Beast expected this..used their anger against them butchering the two lovers next to the simmering corpses of their children.
All the while the creatures begin to worship the Beast. Seeing him as a God.
Never realizing that the Beast had no benevolence, no malice. Only an urge to be the most powerful in the land he governed. He returns to he sea waiting for the time when these creatures prove better prey. Watching one destroy the lovers so violently he knows it's only a matter of time...

Yet strangely more tragic given the context of this picture.

No. Other way around. Mutos want us and Godzilla dead he's just doing what predators do my friend. If Godzilla didn't kill them we'd live in a world dominated by Muto and they could've developed a taste for humans! So yes Godzilla did what he had to do and believe me the only joy he got outta it was he didn't die they BRUTALLY BEAT HIM AND MOCKED HIMΒ

Just saw this but.. wouldn't you beat the crap outta someone who tried to kill you, your mate and your children? :/ just sayin'.
Also I'd think they like Godzilla are only doing the instinctive thing which is to reproduce. The cities they destroy; well they probably had no idea what they were doing. And they attacked the military cos they attacked them. When you look at it its three different sides to the story. Humans, mutos and Godzilla. None of them are really good or bad, they are just what each thinks is right. As they say the guys who win write history.. so Godzilla wins and everyone thinks he's great. But for all we know the mutos would've had babies, fed on Godzilla and then went back underground, unlikely as it is. ._.
Just a theory.
Anyway I can't help feeling bad for them. They wanna live n' love like any creature ever.

Godzilla was treated like a benevolent protector because this is not the first time he came out and destroyed the beings that threatened humanity in this cannon.
Dr Serizawa and his father were both saved by Godzilla's interventions during the prequel comics when they being attacked by shinomura.
More than once he place himself in disadvantageous positions just to minimize the damage he causes.
Like the Bridge scene.
Godzilla could stand up during the entire scene. Meaning he was swimming on shallow water. Yet he stood up at the exact moment the missiles came to the bridge. Despite the relative ease of just swimming through.
Why did he get up? He was looking for an alternate route so he wouldn't have to destroy the bridge...it all really went to hell when a missile blindsided him on the eye.
He didn't need to get up and look for another way. But he did just so these tiny creatures would live to see his greatness. Eventhough the outcome was the same regardless.
Truly he is Dino Jesus.
PS: Godzilla may have the mind of an animal, but he's smart enough to KNOW that his actions take life and he does his best to take the least in his passing.

Wow... Ur right... But yes I did like when they nuzzled I was all like awwww 8P but when they all died I thought well Godzilla has defended us from Extinction u know? That's my opinion though but yeah ur right absolutely but u can't help but root for Godzilla

Godzilla: We are monstersΒ Muto. This world has no need for our kind anymore, either we face extinction or this world eventually dies along with us...

The Mutos design won me over. Godzilla was cool and how design was original and all, but I watched more of the Mutos than I did Godzilla, and I dunno, I became attached to them. Well maybe its cause of Ford.. I wish either the fem or the nuke killed him. Watching him screw up at every part of the movid made me hate humans -.-

Spoken like that then good lord the movie is pretty dark and very sad.
I like that about it though, the fact that none of them ever went out of their way to attack humans and cities unless threatened first, made it easier to feel for them.
Good thing the Toon MUTO's are friends with Toonzilla.
