Ohman... XD ; Here we go... I'm not sure if I'll complete this, but at least we'll have some laughs along the way, right?If you don't know what a nuzlocke challenge is, just know this... if your pokemon faints, it means they're dead. You either have to release them or put them in a "graveyard" box in the PC where you aren't allowed to withdraw them.
Right after I started I already had my first casualty... I have a feeling this isn't gonna end well. ;

I didn't know if I'd make one either, but I figure I might as well try. XD If only as a way of recording what happens beyond the text file I'm making of what I caught and what died.

I always keep a notebook with me whenever I play. I've found it's good to also record moves learned, routes, and pretty much every move in gym battles. That way, you never forget the epic final move of victory

Ahaha, this happened to me too, except on route one. I felt bad about wanting to try again right away so I waited a while.

It's also the problem with critical hits.

it did get nerfed.
But the effect is minimal.
But it can just that little between a kill and that little bit of red health left..

And hope you get some good pokemon since your only allowed to catch the first one you meet on a road.

Oh? ...I didn't hear about that last part correctly I guess, I heard it was first one per grass patch or cave floor and you can't catch the same twice even if it dies. .H. Damn, I'd already made two more comic pages. ; I guess I'll have to see if I can fix this... Fortunately I'm not too far in the game, just beat Brock.

Actually there are 2 base rules.
Any pokemon that faints must be released.
Or put in a Graveyard box from which they may never be retrieved.
and you may only catch 1 pokemon per route and it has to be the first on you meet.
So if you meet a Ratata on a route. Thats the only pokemon you can get from that route.
The no duplicates rule is something some people use and others dont, just to make things a little more varied. I also use this variant of the rules.
Because otherwise I would be stuck with 3 Ratata before the second gym FFFFFFFF!!

Yeeeah... Fortunately I recorded the order and location where I caught things, so if I get rid of the ones I caught second it should be alright. ...I really don't wanna start my start-of-game grindfest all over again. _A_;;

Oh man, good luck, haha. I'm thinking of playing through normally on my white and then nuzlocking the black version once I can buy it at a used discount.
I heard the new games are tougher than the previous ones. oHo; I guess I'll find out when I get mine in the mail.

Well I like handicapping myself allot in games.
My last Nuzlocke run I handicapped myself so that I only could go into each pokemon center ONCE!

By the way, different floors of dungeons all count as one route, right? I made it to Mt. Moon and I was wondering that.

I did exactly that.
A crapton of healing items, and allot of poison remove items.
Sadly it does count as a single route.
And just catch one pokemon. and then use repels till your safe.

Caves are a nuzlockers archnemisis.

I have one last bit that can help you.
Water counts as part of route.
So if you want certain water pokemans. Id use repels in areas that have water with them so you can come back when you have a good/super rod or surf.
And with that I have said all I know about nuzlocks runs :'P

Yeah more then you usually would. and pick up a few poison removal items.
Poison has caused me to lose 3 of my nozluckes runs.

Aye, I've got like 10 antidotes I bought before viridian forest, haha. I didn't take any chances with the weedles.
