Ohman... XD ; Here we go... I'm not sure if I'll complete this, but at least we'll have some laughs along the way, right?If you don't know what a nuzlocke challenge is, just know this... if your pokemon faints, it means they're dead. You either have to release them or put them in a "graveyard" box in the PC where you aren't allowed to withdraw them.
Right after I started I already had my first casualty... I have a feeling this isn't gonna end well. ;

Ugh. I never had the patience or whatever. You only get to catch the first Pokemon you encounter in a route, and if you faint it, too bad. If your Pokemon faints, they're dead. Too bad. You have to release it. You got a free revive? Those are useless. Sell it.

I tried a Nuzlocke in Emerald, but when my Wingull fainted, I sorta said screw it and gave up. Went to the Pokemon center and healed the poor thing /:

Yeah... I pretty much never release mine, I just box them if they faint and they kind of end up in a time-out until I could manage to beat the game. I haven't beaten a nuzlocke yet though (I'm too impatient to level-grind to ridiculous levels), so if I end up in a situation where all my guys faint, I just transfer everyone to another game and try again. 8'D

I am doing a challenge in Heart Gold where I only use Pokemon Gold has in the manga, including abilities, genders, and current evos. Movesets and natures don't count >>

I just felt like doing it because I had been reading Pokemon Special a lot :3 So far, it's pretty fun, but as I get on in the game, the Pokemon restriction will become a hindrance ._.

you see the problem with fire red and leaf green is that unlike all the other starters, if you start with your bulbasaur then you will always lose unless you get a critical hit! which sucks i know because the only way to see all the pokemon in those games is to start with bulbasaur because no one in the region has a venasaur.

I tried a pokemon emerald nuzlocke, but I butchered the rules so it doesn't really count as a nuzlocke. I can't kill my pokemon, they trust me!
... which is kinda dumb since I've had like 10 save files since I got the game, and I've never gotten close to the elite four, like, ever.
I hate brawley so much. I always skip him and wander around the cave for half an hour without flash, then come back later and beat him.
A sample of my butchered nuzlocke:
A pokemon can't die from a critical hit,
likewise, status problems can't kill a pokemon.
starters don't die
if your first wurmple/zigzagoon/whateveritis dies, you can catch another one.

i do shit like this too lol I like nuzlockes, but i get super casual with them sometimes. Its just soooo annoying when, for example, you were training pokemon and your about to leave the area to go heal and you run into a fight and its a pokemon thats too high lvl for your baby your training so you switch it, and it uses pursuit and it dies. its like ugh wtf! cuse you werent trying to fight, you were trying to heal your pokemon. I've only done one nuzlocke so far where i stuck to the rules. After that, i got really loose with them lol.

LOLOL. Good lord I started a Nuzlocke on Leafgreen and my squirtle had a critical hit on him and died....but I was just like.... "doesn't count..." and kept going. xDD

Whaaat? D: Really? ....Man. okay. That sounds like a really epic challenge. I may have to try this; it'll certainly give me a new objective in the game! (Since I don't have a DS and so can't play any of the newer ones.)
XD At least it was early enough that you got to start over. Brobasaur is an awesome name for a bulbasaur. And I love the last two panels with the sunglasses.

Geek logic as to why this nearly always happens:
Scratch has 40 base power and 100% accuracy.
Tackle only has 35 and misses a HELL of a lot. :/

Exactly. Funny thing is, I usually use Charmander, but I figured I should use a mon I'm not as familiar with... and one that won't get my entire team killed by Misty. @_@

Reminds me of my first Nuzlocke on Silver. It ended in about 15 minutes after my Totodile got poisoned by a Weedle and I didn't make it to the pokemon center in time. Dx I had yet to receive any pokeballs so he was my only pokemon. >.<

OMG what a coinkydink. I just read the nuzlocke comics and started my own nuzlocke challenge on blue. Oh man I hope you can stick with it better than I can. I rage quit after my team got wiped by that rocket jerk in Mnt.moon with a raticate.

The only time I die is after my main team hit their 50s and I'm challenging the elite 4 or something with a exp. leeching pokemon.
That would so piss me off. To lose a main member of my team I'd worked the whole game through. DDD8
