Information on Homeland
The Deities live in a planet which is varied in terms of locations, regions, and temperatures. The capital area - where the king + queen live - is surrounded by a beautiful temperate rainforest to the northern regions and lowland meadows to the south. Up in the far northern regions are high, steep mountains where harsh conditions are barely tolerable; those who've committed crimes or have disobeyed the royal orders scavenge a life there. Hence, there are small towns dotted along that way with ramshackle houses and thievery is high in that region.

The captial towns have the richest, royal deities towards the center and the lower residents surrounding them. Most deities work for the royal ones to scrap by.

Deities + Demons
The Deities have been at a constant war with the demons of the planet. The demons wish to take control of the entire world while Deities wish to eradicate the whole species. The demon world is a wasteland of raging fires, fierce, dry deserts, and dotted with volcanoes. The demons were banished to another plane entirely, banished to the realm in the earliest days by Deities as they claimed more and more of the planet. Only certain demons can open rifts to the Deity world. Deities with royal blood can open rifts to the demon world.

Because of this, the Deities have armies built up to combat invasions from demons coming from opened rifts.

Biology - Sex + Gender
All Deities are born with both working sets of 'male' and 'female' genetalia and thus are all intersex. The parents of a kit usually gender their child as they choose but once the kit reaches a certain age, they can choose their gender themselves. Deities changing genders is not all too uncommon but most keep their gender assigned by their parents.

Because of being intersex, any Deity can have kits.

Deities were co-developed by vamqi; they came up with the name, many of the traits/abilities the Deities have, and a multitude of other things. Thus, they also co-own the species.

I don't think the group for these guys will ever be revived but idk...I just really wanted an updated reference for a species I really love.
